Satisfies initial 8 hours of BSIS Module I Powers to Arrest (Part A) & Weapons of Mass Destruction & Terrorism Awareness (Part B) training requirements for new security officer license.

Course topics will cover:

• Roles and responsibilities of a security officer

• Ethics and professional conduct

• Legal responsibilities and liabilities

• Making and arrest and arrestable offenses

• Observation and report writing

• Hand cuffing techniques

• Search and seizure

• Nature and characteristics of terrorism

O.C. Pepper Spray (2 Hours) - $50

Course topics will cover:

• Legal aspects and liability considerations

• Use of non lethal techniques

• Managing aggressive situations and tactical positions

• Chemical properties and physiological effects

• Post first aid treatment and decontamination procedures

• Safety precautions, proper storage, maintenance and disposal
   

Initial Firearm Training (14 Hours) - $250

This course is a combination of eight hours classroom and six hours of range training, covering subjects pertaining to moral and legal aspects, firearm mechanics, weapon handling, shooting fundamentals and emergency procedures.
